2010 Advocacy Agenda

Families First is aggressively involved in advocacy efforts related to the most vital issues facing children and families today. As an advocate for children and families, Families First’s purpose is to study conditions that adversely affect the social well-being of families and children, and ensure the voices of those in need are heard throughout our federal, state and local entities.

For 2010, we are focused on the following areas:

• State budget & resources for critical services
• Child welfare
• Healthcare
• Affordable housing
• Juvenile justice
• Accountability of State programs and resources
